Evening Excursion to Kirtipur for Sunset and Traditional Dinner: In the late afternoon, we’ll take a short drive to Kirtipur, an ancient Newari hill town. Stroll through its historic streets, soak in the views as the sun sets over the valley, and cap off the evening with a delightful traditional dinner, offering a perfect blend of culture, history, and cuisine.
In the morning, we drive from Kathmandu to Syaprubesi, the starting point of our trek. The journey takes us through picturesque landscapes, passing through small villages and terraced fields, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The road can be bumpy, but the scenery makes the drive worthwhile. Upon arrival at the starting point of our trek, we start our short hike to Sherpagaon, a small settlement above Syabrubesi, known for its serene environment and unique Sherpa culture.
Today, we begin our trek by following the Langtang River. The trail passes through lush forests of rhododendron, oak, and bamboo, offering the opportunity to spot wildlife like monkeys and birds. After crossing several suspension bridges, we ascend gradually, reaching the village of Bamboo. From here, the trail continues upwards to Thangshep, where we will spend the night.
We start on similar trails as the last day and walk past the rocky landslide patch where the old Langtang village was before getting swept away in the 2015 earthquake. The new Lantang village, is just a little further with all new and sturdy houses. We will be following some truly pleasant trails to reach Kyanjin today.
Today, you have a few options. If you’re in the mood to relax, enjoy a coffee and some yak cheese—yes, that’s right, this village boasts a cafe with a real coffee machine, and the region is famous for its yak cheese factory! For those seeking a bit of adventure, you can also hike up to Kyanjin Ri for breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains and valley.
Today, we begin our descent down to Lama Hotel, retracing our steps through the picturesque landscape. The descent offers a fresh perspective on the views we passed earlier, allowing us to fully appreciate the changing scenery.
We continue our descent today, retracing our steps down to Syaprubesi. The trail leads us through lush forests, crossing rivers and suspension bridges along the way. As we approach Syaprubesi, we can reflect on our incredible journey through the Langtang Valley. Once we reach Syaprubesi, we settle into a lodge for the night, where we can relax and reminisce about our trek.
After breakfast, we drive from Syaprubesi to Nuwakot, a charming village steeped in history and natural beauty. Known for its stunning hilltop views, Nuwakot is home to traditional Nepalese architecture, ancient temples, and terraced fields. It offers a peaceful and scenic escape, perfect for unwinding after the trek. We will stay at a boutique lodge that provides a tranquil environment and excellent facilities. Here, you can relax, enjoy the stunning views, and reflect on the incredible journey you have taken through the Langtang region.
After a restful night, we drive back to Kathmandu. The drive offers scenic views of rural Nepal as we make our way back to the capital. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll have the rest of the day to relax or explore the city.

After a restful night, we drive back to Kathmandu. The drive offers scenic views of rural Nepal as we make our way back to the capital. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll have the rest of the day to relax or explore the city.
Flexible Arrival and Departure:
At Yoga Treks Nepal, we offer flexibility to suit your schedule. The yoga trek program officially begins on Day 1 of the itinerary, but you’re welcome to arrive earlier or stay longer in Kathmandu if you wish.
Arrival: We recommend arriving at least a day before Day 1 to rest and prepare, though you’re free to come earlier for more time to explore.
Departure: The trek ends on the final day, but feel free to extend your stay for extra relaxation or sightseeing.

During the trek, you’ll stay in simple guesthouses run by local families, with twin-bed rooms provided. If you’d prefer a private room, it can be arranged subject to availability along the trek. However, private rooms can be easily secured before and after the trek at hotels or boutique guesthouses, and pricing will be provided separately upon request. While blankets are provided, hot water availability may vary, and amenities like hot showers or electricity, when available, may come at an extra cost. For added comfort, you may wish to bring a sleeping bag or sleeping bag liner. In Kathmandu and Pokhara, you’ll stay in boutique guesthouses.
We will use domestic flights when possible to save time and ensure comfort. For overland travel, private vans or jeeps will be arranged depending on road conditions.
Meals on the trek will primarily be vegetarian, providing you with nutritious and energizing options. Lunch usually consists of Nepalese dal bhat, which is a hearty lentil soup served with vegetable curry and rice, fueling you for the day ahead. In the evenings, you’ll have a choice from a continental menu featuring a variety of dishes, including soups, pasta, pizza, and noodles, ensuring a satisfying end to each day of exploration.
